| Batroc the Leaper (Marvel) |
[21 Jun 2009|12:42am] |
Sorry, Venom and Sol Badguy sketches. Your finishing has been preempted by fabulous Frenchman Batroc the Leaper. I couldn't bring myself to draw him bodybuilder-sized like he's supposedly meant to be. Because seriously. It's Batroc.
I would love to draw a comic book where I could draw silly characters such as Batroc in scenes like this.

| Starky (Chrono Cross) |
[28 May 2009|01:16am] |
Vanille from Final Fantasy XIII (2009/2010), designed by Tetsuya Nomura and/or Nao Ikeda. Mel from Chrono Chross (1999), designed by Nobuteru Yƫki.
Maybe a little more obvious than Yoshinori Kitase being inspired by Berserk when creating some of the characters and some of the story of Final Fantasy VII, and a little less obvious than Nobuo Uematsu "borrowing" the intro from Pete Townshend's Let My Love Open the Door for the classic Final Fantasy end theme.
Since I mentioned Chrono Cross, here's a sketch of my favorite character from it, Starky.

Dear Ali the Raisin,
Happy now?

| She-Hulk |
[07 May 2009|04:14pm] |
Go check out my buddy Jeff's "Twisted Princess" series of Disney girls in his deviantart gallery. My favorites are his Jane, Pocahontas, and Sleeping Beauty.
Here are some She-Hulk sketches.

| Silk Spectre II (Watchmen) |
[18 Mar 2009|11:55pm] |
For those of you who've been looking for a better way of watching Dragonball Z than actually watching Dragonball Z, look no further:
(This series becomes so amazing once it gets to the episodes where Nappa is a main character.)
Here's a sketch of Silk Spectre II from Watchmen (comic book version). I had actually started this days before the Rorschach pic from my last entry, but since I messed up the face a bit from sketching it in pen, I had set it aside when she was little more than a face and some sketch lines. I later decided to finish it since I liked where the rest of the sketch was going.

| WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMEN? |
[06 Mar 2009|01:15pm] |
That's right. I'm reposting this three years later.--considering the occasion, and all. I probably won't have time to see it until sometime next week, so if anything is different than the comic, don't spoil it for me.

| Psylocke and malware |
[10 Feb 2009|01:01am] |
I had a bit of a brutal slug-fest with some malware this past week/weekend. Hopefully I got it sorted out for good. Dunno where I picked it up, since as far as I can recall I haven't been to any sites that I don't normally go to. Maybe I downloaded a particularly grumpy cat macro.
Here's Psylocke for personanimus.

Van Nuys sometimes smells like cat food.
Here's a pen sketch of Wolverine.

| Iruka (Naruto) and resolutions |
[04 Jan 2009|09:56pm] |
I only have three resolutions so far:
1. Make a fort using pillows and blankets. 2. Refer to Courtney B. as "Queen of the Pixie-folk." 3. Attempt fusion with someone of my size and power level.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Here's Iruka from Naruto for scruffyrebel.

Thanks to those who sent me Christmas and holiday cards! I sent mine out surprisingly on time this year. Try not to be too stunned.
Here's Harry Potter for the_lisa.
